Create a Root account to join communities and connect with others.
What is a Root account?
A Root user account is your identity on Root. It holds information such as your email address, profile picture, and password. Everyone needs an active account to use Root.

- Open the Root app.
- Select Register.
- Enter your username.
- Enter your email address.
- Create a password.
- Select Register.
- Open the Root app.
- Tap Register.
- Enter your username.
- Enter your email address.
- Create a password.
- Tap Register.
Security verification
A Security Verification pop up window may appear during registration. This verification usually completes silently in the background. If interactive verification is needed, complete the on-screen challenge to continue.

Verify your email address
After you create your account, Root sends a verification code to the email address you provided. Verifying your email:
- Confirms you own the email address
- Allows you to join communities that require verified members
- Enables account recovery if you forget your password
If you don't see the verification email, check your spam folder. You can request a new verification email from your account settings.

- Enter the code to verify your account.
- Tap the banner notification.
- Enter the verification code sent to your email.
- Tap Verify.
