Notifications
Configure how Root alerts you about activity.
Change your notification settings
- Desktop
- Mobile
- Select your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Select Notifications.
- Toggle your preferred settings on or off.

When Use native notifications is enabled, notifications appear in your operating system's notification center (Windows Action Center or Linux notification daemon) instead of Root's built-in popup windows. Native notifications integrate with your system's Do Not Disturb mode and notification history. This setting is not available on macOS.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Notifications.
- Toggle In-app notifications on or off.
To manage push notifications (when the app is closed), go to your device's Settings app, find Root, and adjust your notification permissions.
Respond directly from notifications

When native notifications are enabled, you can respond directly from the notification:

When using Root's built-in notifications, select the notification to open the app and respond.
